New beaut 3D rendering solution expected to attract more buyers and make faster sales
Established builder, Stylecraft Group Pty Ltd expects to fast-track the sales of its new development with an innovative 3D rendering solution from VASTview Studios.
Stylecraft, a construction company that has specialised in domestic and commercial construction for the past 30 years, bought the VASTview solution for its most recent development project that comprises 11 townhouses in Maidstone.
Bernard Hostnjack, Stylecraft’s contract administrator said, “The photos and video that make up the VASTview product are more realistic, more crisp and appear to have a higher definition. They lack the normal cartoon appearance that traditional rendering has.”
He added, “It looks like an actual photograph or video that’s been taken inside a real house. Previous rendering solutions that we’ve used do not look as realistic.”
The Maidstone project enables potential buyers to tour both the internal layout and the external building of the townhouses in a virtual reality environment, while allowing the viewer to easily swap between a light coloured and darker coloured theme, so they can easily choose their preference prior to construction.
According to Hostnjack, being able to provide buyers with a virtual tour of what the townhouses will look like before the company starts building is a huge bonus.
This particular VASTview process took about five weeks, which is longer than normal because of multiple modification requests. It began with VASTview collecting the council schedule, a set of architectural drawings, their associated CAD files, and all of the codes and photographs of the product options from Stylecraft’s showroom, and ended with delivery of the finalised project to the real estate agents tasked with selling the town houses.
“The real estate agents have all expressed surprise. They have not come across something like this before, ” Hostnjack said.
He believes it appeals to them because it will enable them to attract more buyers and make faster sales.
“There’s a big difference between asking a buyer whether they prefer a black or a white benchtop, and having them trying to envisage that inside their head, and actually showing them what each theme will look like as a realistic photograph.
“This ability to choose different fitout options – carpets, taps, benchtops, wall colours – in real time, instead of trying to show someone the concept on paper, is the product’s best feature.”
He says, another one is the ability to allow someone to fly around the side elevations of their new home to view it from all angles, rather than just seeing it drawn on a piece of paper.
